Marion commenced her practice of the law in her native Scotland, quickly rising to one of only three female partner in one the then largest legal firms in the country.  She was also appointed a Notary Public.  While in Scotland, Marion also completed a Post Graduate qualification in Forensic Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine at Glasgow University.

Upon emigrating to Australia, Marion added to her qualifications with study at Melbourne University.  She was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria in 1990.

As a Senior Lawyer, Marion has extensive knowledge of Family Law.  In particular, she has expertise in complex financial matters and the delicate negotiations required in matters relating to children.  Marion regularly acts in cases involving married parties, de facto partners and same sex couples.

When away from the practice of law, Marion plays cello in an amateur orchestra, hits the odd golf ball and enjoys camping with a single malt or two around an open fire.
